Agave

We have several agave in the yard. If you give them water they grow like weeds. This one is not even 2 years old. They also throw off babies quite often. If you look close can see one poking thru in front of the big plant as well as a bigger one tucked close to momma. They have a long thorn at the tip of each leaf. It can penetrate just about anything, but especially adept at skin. They are pruned by removing the bottom row of vegetation. Still kind of a neat looking plant.

Great day of biking today as we did a 50 mile trek. Can tell I haven't been on the bike for distance in a while. I was really tired when we got back. Of course it probably more an age thing.
