For the annual 4th of July get together at my sister's we stayed in a bed and breakfast. Sheila turned one of those nice round decade numbers and Sue gave her a gift cert. to this B&B. It was one of the nicest ones we have ever stayed in. It is an old city library that was active for 90 years up until 1997. Perfect location on the bluff over looking the river. Our room was accessed from the sitting room with all the book shelves. If you look at the book shelf behind the lamp you will see the entrance. Actually you had to hit the secret button and the entire bookcase rolled back into the wall revealing the hallway to our room. Really well hidden. Also a great view from our private patio. Hosts served us breakfast on our patio in the morning. Usually B&B's serve breakfast at a set time. Not here. They wanted to know when each guest wanted to be served and they mapped to your schedule. Great hosts. Thanks Sue for the gift. We will return.
Weekend was great - B&B, bike riding, lots of good company, perfect weather, and spectacular fireworks. My brother out did himself again. Was even firing a lot of the fireworks electronically.
There was even a little afternoon shooting at clay pigeons. From what I was able to observe, the clays were safe.

The B & B looks beautiful and always fun to be "pampered"!

Glad you liked it. I have such fond memories of the library (once a nerd, always a nerd). Also found some of those clay targets in the tall grass and, yes, they were unbroken.
