Just finished a clothes chest. It's about 5 feet tall and 21 inches wide. Should hold a lot of clothes. I made it out of quarter sawn oak. I have been using QS lumber lately because that is how they used to make it in the old days. Instead of the familiar cathedral grain of flat sawn, QS has rays. It is also much more stable as it does not expand/contract as much. The reason they don't use QS any more is because it is more expensive to cut logs on the quarter. My lumber supplier, however, doesn't charge that much more for raw QS wood.
Plan on taking it to AZ home if I can get it into the vehicle. It weighs a bloody ton.

Very nice! How deep are the drawers?

It's gorgeous. QS furniture always reminds me of that breakfront Grandpa Kurtz had between the kitchen and the dining room. I didn't appreciate wood back then but even I could tell it was beautiful.
This is beautiful!
