Climb every Mountain

Objective on this day was to climb to the top of the front range of the Superstition Mtns. - first picture. Saved this one for when we had our hiking and climbing legs under us. Second picture is of the point we were heading for - we are about half way up. Last picture is Sheila on the point. Couple more feet and about 1,000 feet straight down. You can see Apache Junction, Mesa, and Phoenix in the distance. Last half of climb was lot of solid rock so great to have vibram soles on the boots. They really cling to rock. We had lunch up on top. They say you can see for 100 miles and I believe it. 6 1/2 hours after starting we were down and heading for the swimming pool. what a contrast.
