Age is only a state of mind

Every year about this time we trek off to a small Missouri town on the Mississippi River to visit a friend of ours. Mainly it is to help her celebrate her birthday. Wilma (sitting at the end of the table) turned 94. The other Wilma (her best friend) sitting on Sheila's Left is 95. I didn't know Mary well enough to ask her how old she is. It is a standing invite that we go to a Primo's for the gathering. The owner makes sure we have plenty of tables in a row and 18 to 20 folks show up. The owner had a card on the table that said "reserved for Wilma's wild birthday bash". It is always a great time.

Wilma (the 95 year old) and I were talking couple of nights ago. She said she tries to look on the bright side of things, always gets out for a walk to this day, and tries to stay busy. None of them got to bent out of shape about things through out their lives. So maybe that is the secret or it could just be in the genes.
