Many people in our community are leaving to spend a week with their families back in their respective states. Mostly they go to see their grand kids. I understand it when the kids are still little. But when they get to be teenagers all I hear is they see them for a couple of hours. The kids have their own things to do. Maybe they should resort to skype or whatever they call the face to face thingie on the phones. Oh yes one other complaint I always hear is that it was so cold. Well what did they expect - its Winter.

I've got a golden barrel cactus. Pretty sure the Northwoods is not it's native habitat. While it seems fairly happy here, maybe you could give it a home w/ the rest of your herd?
Yup!! That is why we spend as much time as possible with the grandkids when they are young. Building a base! By 10 years of age, they don't have time to spend with the old folks but they remember the good times, anyway!
