It's not always warm in Arizona

Realized it has been a long time since I blogged so thought I better pop one out. Weather in Arizona is just as unpredictable as any where else. Note the beautiful cactus and flowers on my back wall. Couple of weeks later, note that I have the ficus trees covered in frost cloth. The lantana on the property had to also be covered. Put a light bulb in the trees for heat. Didn't do any good. We had 5 days in a row ( a record) where the night temp was below freezing (25). The ficus trees, lantana bushes, and bougainvillea were fairly fried. Can't understand why the many varieties of cactus did not have any problem with the cold.
