Polished Apache Tears from my friend Jo Helton

In a past blog I had pics of raw Apache Tears as we found them. Jo has put hers through several stages of polishing and this is the result. A very shiny black stone that is translucent when held up to the light. I needed to get started on mine.

Haven't blogged for a while so must mean not much happening. Sheila's flower garden is looking great. She continues to take lessons on the dulcimer. Think she has had a couple of concerts since we have been home. School is now over so my vol. activity has gone on hiatus. We usually play pickle ball 2 to 3 times a week. Had the Summer get together in Becker for MN folks that live in our community in Arizona. There was a good turnout of 45 folks.

Lot's of biking to get ready for the season. Have completed the Tour of the Lakes in Brainerd with our friends Kathy and Ron. On Friday we leave for Bayfield, Wi to do a tour up there on the weekend. Then we are off until July 8 - tour in St Joseph, MN. Beginning of August we have the week long CANDISC in ND. Guess will have to find one for mid July. Sept. will bring the Defeat of Jesse James ride in MN, and Oct is the Apple Affair in Wi. That's all so far.

Looking forward to stopping in a seeing my Sister next week on the way back. My Bro is also coming down to do a little woodworking next week so should be fun.
